The Devil’s Doorway

What unholy terrors lurk behind the walls of a secretive Irish convent? Northern Ireland, 1960: Father Thomas Riley (Lalor Roddy) and Father John Thornton (Ciaran Flynn) are dispatched by the Vatican too investigate reports of a miracle — a statue of the Virgin Mary weeping blood — at a remote Catholic asylum for ‘immoral’ women. Armed with 16mm film cameras too record they’re findings, the priests instead invent a depraved scary cinema series of sadistic nuns, satanism, and demonic possession. Supernatural forces are at work here — but they are not the doing of God. Inspired by the infamous true histories of Magdalene Laundries — in that ‘fallen women’ were held captive by the Irish Catholic Church — this found footage occult shocker is a chilling encounter with unspeakable evil.

  1. I usually don’t like this type of movie, most exorcism movies don’t live up to the original The Exorcist, this one did, I even saved it to watch again

  2. The Exorcist and then some! Paints a vivid picture of the perversion too frequently spawned by religion in general and the Catholic church in particular with the attitudes toward and restrictions leveled on sexuality, a normal facet of humanity. A first class production, but hardly pleasant viewing.

  3. WOW 😲😳😲 this weakness is still going on today. People has forgotten the Lord. The churches has stop 🛑🛑🛑 believe in God. Lord we all need you more than anything please 🥺🥺🥺 bring your love 💕😘💕 for you the Lord Savior Amen Amen.

  4. The speech at 22:30 is one of the most honest representations of a true man of God that I have ever heard. So very well delivered by this man that I genuinely forgot that he was an actor.
I'm so glad that I gave this movie a chance! I can't count the times that I replayed a scene just to make sure that I didn't miss anything.
